Good vs Evil: I was just sitting here pondering on the nature of Good and Evil (as ya often do) and have hit numerous roadblocks which I hope someone can help me out with.

What is Evil? Is it the act of doing something evil or merely thinking about it? Now, everyone has evil thoughts, that's basic human nature, but most of us try to avoid acting upon these impulses. IE-Robbing a store, punching out random people. So if it is the actual act of doing, then is it possible for an evil act to be perceived as good? Ok, so then evil is not finite, it's a perception...like love or beauty.

Q: If someone commits an act and it is perceived by others as evil, is it? What if someone commits the same act and it is perceived as being justified, but that person feels terrible for what they have done, is it still evil? Is it necessary or acceptable to be evil at times? Or is evil just the absence of good. Ah...but then what is good? Heavy, I know...any ideas?
